Dear Duke Kunshan University Alumni,

Duke Kunshan University (“DKU”) is committed to preserving the privacy of our alumni and processing alumni Personal Information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”).

“Personal Information” in this Statement refers to all personal information you provide to DKU (including the information update) as indicated in the table below, some of which may be personally sensitive.

Please note that your basic DKU information, i.e., your name, DKU degree and major (“Basic DKU Information”), will be automatically uploaded into this DKU Alumni Website from DKU Hub and cannot be changed, since DKU legitimately maintains and processes such information as a university and must ensure the information accuracy.

The main purpose for DKU’s collection of your Personal Information herein is to connect you with DKU and the broader Duke community. 

Please keep in mind that you are not compulsorily required by DKU to provide any or all of your Personal Information; but your information is the key to keeping connected with DKU and Duke after graduation. Alumni automatically receive emails about university updates and upcoming events based on the information we have on record. Missing some Personal Information may prevent you from staying informed, involved, and engaged.

Email address	Allow you to stay informed, involved and engaged through communications of university updates, upcoming events, alumni survey etc.   Enable DKU to contact you when personal communication is considered necessary. Etc.
Phone number
Gender	Help DKU develop alumni relations strategic plans based on the alumni demographics. Etc.
Employment Information, including industry, job title, employer, work experience and LinkedIn URL	Track your growth before and/or beyond DKU. Help DKU develop alumni relations strategic plans based on alumni’s professional development. Help DKU identify your needs and areas of interest and provide you with tailored communications, programs, and services. Potentially connect you with others with similar experiences and backgrounds within the DKU & Duke community. Etc.
Education Information other than experience in DKU, including degree, institution, and graduation year	Track your growth before and/or beyond DKU. Help DKU develop alumni relations strategic plans based on alumni’s educational backgrounds. Potentially connect you with others with similar backgrounds within the DKU & Duke community. Etc.
DKU Campus Activities Information, including your DKU club and position	Keep a record of your campus life. Help DKU identify your needs and areas of interest and provide you with tailored communications, programs, and services. Potentially connect you with others with similar interests within the DKU & Duke community. Etc.

Your Personal Information will be stored in the host located in China permanently until your DKU alumni status terminated. DKU will notice you through email if the storage location has changed.

After you provided your Personal Information, you may at any time access, edit, update, erase your Personal Information by log into this DKU Alumni Website via your Duke OneLink account. Please contact alumni@dukekunshan.edu.cn if you:

1. wish to revoke any consent you have given to DKU to collect and process your Personal Information for this DKU Alumni Website.
2. intend to make any change or correction to your Basic DKU Information.
3. have any questions regarding this Statement. 

Consent Form for Collecting and Processing Your Phone Number

Please note that phone number is relevant to your personal and property safety. DKU collects and processes your phone number to stay connected with you through communications of university updates, upcoming events, alumni survey etc., and to contact you when personal communications are considered necessary.

By filling in your phone number, you understand and acknowledge the sensitivity of such information, and voluntarily give your consent for DKU’s collection and processing of such information in accordance with the Duke Kunshan University Alumni Website Privacy Statement.

Consent Form for Collecting and Processing Your Home Address

Please note that home address is relevant to your personal and property safety. DKU collects and processes your home address to send you communications of alumni news and events around your areas and send mail packages when needed.

By filling in your home address, you understand and acknowledge the sensitivity of such information, and voluntarily give your consent for DKU’s collection and processing of such information in accordance with the Duke Kunshan University Alumni Website Privacy Statement.

Cross-border Transfer of Your Personal Information to Duke University

With your consent below, DKU will share your Personal Information collected from the Duke Kunshan University Alumni Website with Duke University (hereinafter “Duke”), for the purpose of connecting you with Duke, other Duke alumni, and the broader Duke community. Duke will upload and store your information to your profile in Duke Alumni Directory at alumni.duke.edu.
